Conversations that will never include me.

– Health care, because my experiences don’t fit the bill for conservatives or liberals. Doctors have been awful to me. Doctors have been kind to me. I have had excellent insurance. I have had no insurance. I have had doctors not charge me. I have received bills with charges mysteriously reduced. The poor POC I have known have not been bankrupted by their medical bills. This goes against the narrative. Some have had doctors be kind to them, and some have had doctors be cruel. This also goes against certain narratives.

– Sexwork, because my experiences don’t fit the bill for pro or anti sexwork folks.

– Race, because I have wandered lonely with interracial daffodils.

These are just a few of the conversations that will never include me.
